By downloading or using Retain, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the app.

Retain is a spaced-revision tracker: it helps you log topics you've studied, record how each session went, and see when a topic is next due for review. It's a personal study log, not a guarantee of any particular learning outcome.

Retain doesn't require an account, and everything you log — topics, sessions, notes, and schedules — is stored only on your device. We don't have access to it and can't recover it for you if it's lost, so it's worth keeping your device backups turned on.

Use Retain for your own personal, lawful purposes. Please don't reverse-engineer, decompile, or resell the app, or use it in any way that could damage or disable it for other users.

The Retain name, icon, and app design belong to us. The topics, notes, and content you create in the app belong to you.

Retain is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, and suggested review dates are estimates based on what you tell us — not a promise about how well you'll retain any particular topic.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we're not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including loss of data stored on your device — arising from your use of Retain.

We may update the app or these terms from time to time. If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Retain after a change means you accept the updated terms.

You can stop using Retain at any time by deleting the app, which also removes its locally stored data from your device. We may also discontinue the app at any time.
