Privacy Policy

Retain doesn't collect, store, or have access to any of your personal data. There's no account to create and no server holding your information — the topics, sessions, and notes you log stay on your phone.

None. Retain doesn't ask for your name, email, or any other personal information, and we have no analytics or tracking built into the app.

If you've opted in to sharing analytics with app developers under your iPhone's Privacy settings, Apple may share anonymised crash and usage data with us. This data is aggregated by Apple and can't be used to identify you — we don't control it and can't opt you in or out of it ourselves.

Every topic, revision session, and note you add is stored locally on your device using iOS's on-device storage. Retain has no backend server, so this information is never transmitted to us or anyone else.

If you have iCloud or iTunes device backups turned on, your Retain data may be included in those backups the same way any other app's local data would be — that backup is managed by Apple, not by us. If you delete the app, its data is deleted from your device along with it.

We don't use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs of any kind. We don't sell or share your data because we don't have it.

Retain doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13 — because we don't collect information from anyone at all.

If this policy ever changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Since we don't collect any contact details, we won't be able to notify you directly — check back here if you'd like to stay up to date.
